Professor Dr Burkhard Schöbener is one of the Directors of the International Investment Law Centre Cologne. He also holds the Chair for Public Law, Public International Law and European Law of the University of Cologne. His research focuses on International Economic Law (including WTO and International Investment Law) as well as German and European Economic Law. He publishes articles and papers on these subjects on a regular basis.

Professor Schöbener is also the President of the Association of Friends & Supporters of the IILCC (IILCC Förderverein).
